You need Internet Explorer version 5.0 or above to fill in the date properly.

I wonder why they have to use such fancy things. Would be better for everyone applying if they stuck to the normal fill-in-the-blank method. Or perhaps they want less people to apply? I suppose that might be a good thing in a sense… Less competition hehe

im da 1 dat apply 4 bnm schol..
in skul im da top scorer 4 elective sbj especially additional math n im score well in da sbj..
hmmm pity on me..
i dun get da schol @ even a call from bnm..
da thing become worst when 1 of my friend.. who r never score well in da very important sbj get da scholarship..
she’s never score a’s in dat sbj and even hard 2 get even b’s..
N now i kept wondering..how can she get bnm scholarship as she get A2 4 her add math..
how did they pick her…

Hi guys,

I’m an applicant for BNM’s postgrad scholarship award.

I reckon it must have been a good 3 months since i submitted my application but i have not heard a word from BNM to date and i’m getting a little anxious especially when my program is drawing close. I called BNM and to my astonishment, they told me that postgrad shortlisting will only be announced in mid-July.

Suprisingly though, I was informed by a source in BNM that internal (BNM staff) recipients have been identified but why is it taking BNM so long to process our applications.

Any postgrad applicants out there facing the same problem?

to all you people who are eager to know about bnm scholarship, pls feel free to drop me a msg. i will do my best to answer your questions regarding the scholarship.

Let me first clear a few things up.
For BNM overseas undergraduate scholarship, 07′SPM leavers can apply right after their results are out through online application but please be aware that the deadline is one week from the SPM results release date (at least that is the case for year 2007).
If you are shortlisted, u’ll b given a call by BNM to attend an interview session.
However, some of the TOP STUDENTS of your batch may be called up even without application because these are award receivers (which means they are the top few students of the year and thus will receiver the scholarship ‘free-free’ to study in any country and any course) which are different from the normal scholarships.

hi, I think there’s a problem wif the BNM website because when I clicked ‘HERE’ (refer to the article on top), I got something like ‘Maaf, kandungan laman ini belum terdapat dalam Bahasa Malaysia buat masa ini.’ I have a friend who has already handed in her application form and is currently waiting for a reply. If I could not access the webpage, does that mean I have to wait for my results to be announced in march before taking the next step?

Bank Negara offer Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Accountancy, Banking, Finance, Computer Science etc (courses related to banking) But, i am sure bank doesnt sponsor medic.

I’m just wondering how many scholarships are being offered this year besides the special(bondless) scholarships(the one that the intellects Thavarajah 15a1 and Esther Jack 15a1 received)?
There must be a specific amount like the amount of scholarships being offered by Jpa each year which is around 1300 scholarships.
Pls answer me because I want to see the level of competitiveness here.

In year 2007,

6 students are awarded the special scholarship.

Approximately 50 students received the pre-u + overseas degree scholarship (application with SPM results).

Approximately 15 students received the fast-track scholarship (same terms with the normal scholarship, just that top 10 students from high schools recognized by BNM are given the priviledge to apply earlier with trial results and enrol into pre-u course by January)

These are basically the overseas scholarships.

Hey, I tried to get a Daftar Pemohon but I accidentally filled in for SPM candidates. I’m supposed to fill in as a STPM candidate.And, when I tried again to fill in as STPM candidate. They say I can’t. Because, it’s already deadline. But, apparently, the deadline is on the 11th April. I think I have accidentally signed in to the application for SPM scholarships. How can I solve this problem?

I think i have a same problem with u. It is better to call up the person incharge in the bank. U can get the contact from www.bnm.gov.my.
Today i did go to the Bank Negara Malaysia to take the application form, but they said all application have to be done through internet. Ironically, the online system is unstable.
