The Star Education Fund - Degree Scholarship Awards 2007
Star Publications (M) Bhd established an educational fund in 1994 with the primary objective of providing educational opportunities for deserving and needy young Malaysians. Since than we have granted awards to bright Malaysian that gave them the chance to study in selected local public universities.
We like to invite eligible candidates to apply for the Star Education Fund Degree Scholarship Awards 2007 for fulltime undergraduate studies in local public universities.
FIELD OF STUDY
- Bachelor of Accountancy
- Bachelor of Computer Science (Multimedia)
- Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering)
ELIGIBILITY
Candidates must:
- be Malaysian citizens of not more than 25 years of age as at 1st January 2007
- possess good academic records (STPM or equivalent)
- have excelled in extra-curricular activities and possess leadership qualities
- not be bonded to or in receipt of any financial aid or awards from other educational institutions or organisations
- be able to gain admission to the local public universities for approved courses of study
SCHOLARSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS
The scholarship will be:
- tenable for the minimum period required by the recipient to complete the course
- RM 5,500 in amount per academic year
SERVICE BOND
Successful candidates may be required to serve Star Publications (M) Bhd upon completion of their studies.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
- To obtain an application form, please submit a stamped (40sen) self- addressed envelope (25cm x 30cm) and indicate on the top left-hand corner of the envelope, the course applied for or download the form here.
- Completed application forms with the required supporting documents listed in the application forms must be received by Monday, 25th June 2007. Late applications will not be accepted. Only short-listed candidates will be notified.
- The Star Education Fund Committee will conduct interviews and candidates will be selected in open competition on the basis of a combination of factors which include academic performance, family background, active involvement in co-curricular activities and personal qualities.
