International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is a demanding pre-university course of study that gives holders access to the world’s leading universities. It is a comprehensive two-year international curriculum.

International Baccalaureate Diploma
Programme Scholarship Award is offered to deserving students aged 16 – 19, to provide them the opportunity to develop their potential.
Eligibility
Outstanding students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK), Private Schools and International Schools are invited to apply for the Sekolah Sri KDU® International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Scholarship Award each year.

The selection system is criterion-referenced, and candidates must demonstrate a high level of oral and written proficiency in English.

The scholarship award is based on academic and extra-curricular merit and is very competitive.

Terms and Conditions
The scholarship award is tenable for the two-year period of candidature of the International Baccalaureate diploma programme.

Awards are made for a single year. Recipients will qualify for renewal for the second year when they make satisfactory progress toward completion of the programme. It covers the tuition fee and there will be no bond, except that recipients become active members of the school alumni upon completion of the programme.

A recipient of the scholarship award may not concurrently hold any other scholarship.

The scholarship, worth over RM 100,000.00 each will cover tuition fee for the two-year course beginning August 2008 inclusive of the external examination fee.

The National Scholarship programme was introduced in 2005 with the objective of providing tertiary scholarship opportunities to students who have performed academically well in schools. More than 250 students have benefited from this scholarship programme each year since its inception.

This scholarship programme is opened to all SPM students sitting for their examination in 2007. Applications are based on school’s forecast/ trial examinations results.

This fellowship is open to qualified graduates (Malaysians or International) as below:

i. Enrolled in full time study (Masters and Doctorate) by research mode in USM, or

ii. Received USM’s admission offer letter for postgraduate studies but have not registered.

Benefits

The fellowship covers:

i. Tuition fees

ii. Examination fees

iii. Monthly allowances:

Master :

RM1,500 for first year and will be increased to RM1,800 for the second year of studies. Maximum period of funding is 2 years.

Doctorate :

RM2,100 for the first year and will be increased to RM2,300 for the second year and RM2,500 for the third year of studies. Maximum period of funding is 3 years.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must have a good Bachelors Degree (CGPA > 3.00) or equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian government. Application for Doctorate must have a good Bachelors Degree with Hons and/or a good Masters Degree.
• Not a recipient of any scholarship/financial aid
