USM Fellowship

This fellowship is open to qualified graduates (Malaysians or International) as below:

i. Enrolled in full time study (Masters and Doctorate) by research mode in USM, or

ii. Received USM’s admission offer letter for postgraduate studies but have not registered.

Benefits

The fellowship covers:

i. Tuition fees

ii. Examination fees

iii. Monthly allowances:

Master :

RM1,500 for first year and will be increased to RM1,800 for the second year of studies. Maximum period of funding is 2 years.

Doctorate :

RM2,100 for the first year and will be increased to RM2,300 for the second year and RM2,500 for the third year of studies. Maximum period of funding is 3 years.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must have a good Bachelors Degree (CGPA > 3.00) or equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian government. Application for Doctorate must have a good Bachelors Degree with Hons and/or a good Masters Degree.
• Not a recipient of any scholarship/financial aid

The application form can be downloaded from www.ips.usm.my and the completed forms (2 copies) must be submitted to the Institute of Graduate Studies before 31st October 2007.
