Good news ! HP & AMD scholarship awards is now open for application. WhatI want to comment is their unique website, very interactive and user friendly too.
I don’t plan to write long, but justread their FAQs page which I pasted here :
1. When is the scholarship application submission deadline?
The scholarship application submission duration is from 11 August 2008 to 30 September 2008.
2. What is the scholarship value?
Successful recipients will each receive a scholarship package worth RM25,000.
3. How will the scholarship be disbursed?
The scholarships shall be disbursed on a lump sump basis and shall be paid directly to the recipients.
4. Is this a bonded scholarship?
No. This is a non-bonded scholarship.
5. Can I apply if I am a part-time student?
Yes. This scholarship program is opened to all students who fulfill the eligibility criteria.
6. Is this scholarship for undergraduate students only?
No. This scholarship program is opened to both undergraduate & postgraduate students.
7. How do I apply?
Application is via online submission ONLY at www.hp.com.my/Scholarship with certified true copies of relevant documents mailed by post. Application is considered complete when both online application and hard copy of supporting documents are received.
8. How many applications can I submit?
Each applicant is allowed to apply ONCE only.
The closing date is on 30 September 2008.

The Jardine Foundation is an educational trust established in 1982 to mark the 150th Anniversary of the Jardine Matheson Group.
The Foundation in its discretion awards Jardine Scholarships annually to students to enable them to attend educational establishments, primarily selected colleges at Oxford and Cambridge Universities in the United Kingdom.
The Scholarships are for first degree courses for periods of three or four years, or such longer period as the Scholarship Committee may decide and are tenable for courses at Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
Preference will be given to undergraduate courses in the following Colleges at :-
- Oxford University : Exeter, Oriel, Queen’s and Trinity
- Cambridge : Downing, Magdalene, Peterhouse and Trinity
Applicants must be under 25 years of age at the date of entry to any one of our preferred Colleges or Universities, which include Exeter, Oriel, Queen’s and Trinity at Oxford, and Downing, Magdalene, Peterhouse and Trinity at Cambridge, and must:-
- have reached an academic standard to qualify for entry to any one of such Colleges or Universities;
- be resident in Hong Kong or, in the opinion of the Trustees, have sufficient connection with Hong Kong to be properly regarded as Hong Kong applicants; or
- be resident in any of the countries in which Jardine Matheson Group has significant business interests, which primarily include mainland China, Indonesia, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. For applications from Singapore, male applicants must complete or be exempted from National Service;
- N.B. Generally, applications will not be accepted from candidates whose parents have not resided in Hong Kong or other such relevant country for at least seven years prior to the proposed date of entry to University.
- be in a satisfactory state of health.
