BRITISH CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIPS 2009/10
By admin on Sep 28, 2008 in Government Scholarship, Overseas Scholarship, Postgraduate Scholarship
1. Scholarships are open to Malaysians applying for post-graduate study at British institutions of higher education. Scholarships cover tuition fees, a monthly living allowance, modest allowances to cover books, warm clothing & thesis and a return airfare to Britain. With the exception of business school programmes, where the fees element of the scholarship is capped at £12,000, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office will pay tuition fees directly to the institution concerned on behalf of successful applicants. Scholarships are only given for studies of up to one year’s duration. They are not applicable for undergraduate studies or professional courses (e.g. ACCA, RIBA, ICSA, Bar Vocational courses etc.). Neither are the scholarships awarded for study outside the UK, distance learning and part-time study.
2. Partnership Awards
Some scholarships are co-funded by private sector companies or UK institutions of higher education. All candidates are strongly encouraged to apply for Partnership Awards.
