‎ Dear… Sire‎
I am from Sudan which is consider as developing country that has just ‎emerged from a long civil war and where communicable diseases and ‎public health problems represent major issues for development. ‎
As a young public health officer committed to my people and country, I ‎see myself as a change agent to achieve my country development goals in ‎the post conflict era. ‎
I envision improved public health as fundamental cornerstone for ‎development and I see controlling communicable diseases such as ‎Malaria, HIV and T.B is essential to improve the quality of life of ‎Sudanese people.‎
I graduated from a university of Algezira which is a community oriented ‎environmental and health science that enriched me with the spirits of ‎serving the community especially at the grassroots level.‎
‎ 1 did two postgraduate diplomas the first one in health economics in ‎economic and social studies – faculty of economic university of ‎Khartoum.2004-2005.‎
Also I did the second diploma in human development and reproductive ‎heath, as demographer, from population study center – faculty of ‎economics and rural development university of university of Algezira. ‎From 2005- 2007.‎
I did well in my community based public health related issues during my ‎undergraduate study I was volunteer with community based and health ‎approach that focus on prevention and control of diseases through ‎proper immunization programs, safe water, good food and education and ‎since that time I developed the sense and commitment to serve ‎underdeveloped communities and disadvantageous people ‎
‎ Now I am working in Sudan National AIDS Control Programme (SNAP) in ‎surveillance and research department office as technical surveillance ‎control officer. I feel responsible to serve those vulnerable at risk groups ‎through conducting mapping and behaviors surveillance surveys in those ‎groups such as internally displaced persons (IDPs), female sex workers ‎‎(FSW), men who have sex with men (MSM), Truck drivers, prisoners and ‎tea sellers. ‎
‎ ‎
I personally see my career plans and passion meet with public health, ‎reproductive health, population studies and community developments.‎
I wish if I could find public health master scholarship for international ‎students from government of Malaysia for 2009/2010. And that is will ‎really give me more Knowledge and competent skills in public health ‎issue, and probably will reflect in work to serving me country in such ‎ways, specially for my current position surveillance officer, Sudan ‎National AIDS Control program, Federal Ministry of Health. ‎
Your considerations will be greatly appreciated. ‎
Thanking you in advance,‎
Yours sincerely.‎
