Yayasan Sime Darby Undergraduate Local and Overseas Scholarship 2009

We invite qualified Malaysian citizens to apply for education sponsorship offered by Yayasan Sime Darby to pursue full-time undergraduate programmes at recognised universities local and overseas for the coming academic year.
Requirements
SPM (minimum 7 A1s in subjects taken) AND any of the following:
• STPM (CGPA of at least 3.5)
• Local Matriculation / Diploma (CGPA of at least 3.5)
• ‘A Level’ (minimum 3A)
• Australian TER SAM / AUSMAT (minimum 90.0)
• International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (minimum 36.0)
• International Canadian Pre-University (minimum 85%)
• Individuals pursuing their first or second year undergraduate studies must
have latest academic result of at least 2nd class upper division

Thanks for your enquiries on Yayasan SimeDarby Local and Overseas Undergraduate Scholarships. The followings may be useful for your application:
1. The scholarships cover only the preferred diciplines stated on the offcicial website of SimeDarby.(e.g. business admin, economics, ICT, Agricultural Science and etc.)
2. Even if you score excellently in your STPM or A-Level or Diploma or any other equivalents but you din’t possess minimum 8A1s in SPM (grade ‘A2′ CANNOT be considered), you are NOT eligible for the scholarships. Both Pre-U and Undergraduate Scholarships STRICTLY requires 8A1 in SPM.
3. The Undergraduate Scholarships (booth local and overseas) are for students pursuing their FIRST DEGREE. Students who have completed their first degree and seeking for second degree or equivalent level (including professional courses such as CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW and so on) are NOT eligible.
4. The Undergraduate Scholarships will give PRIORITY to those who were previously sponsored by SimeDarby under Pre-U scholarships before.
5. The number of awards for Undergraduate Scholarships to be offered for academic year 2009 amounted to a total of 30 scholarships. Since SimeDarby is a GLC (Government-linked company), the apportionment of scholarships will be allocated 50% to Bumiputra (or Malay), 30% to children of employees of SimeDaby and the remaining 20% is apportioned to public.

I am studying in chemical engineering course.But i’m studying in universiti malaysia pahang.The problem is the scholarship is for student whose study in certain university in Malaysia.Universiti Malaysia Pahang is not has on the list. Can I apply for this scholarship????
