JPA Sponsorship’s 2009 For SPM’s Graduate 2008

The Overseas Degree Program Scholarship (PILN) 2009 for SPM Graduates 2008 is now open for application.
The scholarship is open from 12 Mac 2009 until 18 Mac 2009. In view of high congested traffic, we would suggest all candidates to apply during nite time. If possible try 1am onwards.

Hi…
I am Tan Chia Peng…
I juz finish my National Services…
I would like to apply for scholarship to continue my study as a pharmacist…
My SPM result is not that good but i would like to try to apply for the scholarship…
I got 5A’s,2B’s and 7C’s as my SPM result…
Although is a bad result but i will try my best to continue my study and increase my knowledge…

Minimum requirements: A2 for BM, SJ, Pendidikan Islam/Pendidikan Moral

I got 9A’s and 1B for my SPM. The sad thing is I only got B4 for my Pendidikan Moral. I know I didn’t attain the requirement but I still gave a try and applied for the scholarship. I’m chosen for PLKN and I’d like to know if that would help me in getting the scholarship?
Do I still have chance?

1. There are 1676 students scoring straight A1s in the spm 2008.
2. There are only 2000 places for tis scholarship.
3. students with straight As ( a mixture of A1 n A2, etc : 13A1 2A2) are not included in the 1676 students.
4. In this scholarship, 70% result, 10% family income, 10% kokurikulum n 10% interview performance. So, plkn will help about 5%.
5. more than 10,000 students apply for this scholarship every year, so the chances for a student with less than 11A1 is very slim even for unpopular courses such as tourism n management etc… not to mention pharmacy related courses.
6. To students hoping to get this scholarship for courses such as medicine, engineering, accountings, actuarial sc, pharmacies, dentistry, your result shud be extremely outstanding, more than 11A1s, and u must have a good proficiency in english.
7. Lastly, u shud at least obtain an A2 for the GCE-O level english if u’re planning to apply overseas scholarships.
I hope tis information will help, i got all this information from the MCA youth education exhibition. Anyone can check their website for further information.

I don’t think STPM students can apply for this scholarship. Read carefully, its for SPM leaver only. The application is now closed and candidates can check their application status at http://www.jpa.gov.my
The interview will begin next week.

I’ve got 11 1As but got local scholarship. My Co.co is also good but my friend who got 8As and a got overseas scholarship. I’m so hurt and demoralised. What do they mean by 1malaysia. How can i appeal for an overseas scholarship?. Pleas HELP……..
