Who can participate?
EM gives graduate students from outside the EU the chance to obtain a master
degree in the EU, Malaysian students holding a BA degree are eligible.

How much money is available?
A 9.8 million MYR package of funding has been set aside specifically for students
from Malaysia for the period 2005/6-2006/7. This is in addition to the eligibility
of Malaysian students to the worldwide EM programme of €230 million running for the period 2004/2008. It is expected that for the next selection there will be 40
scholarships available for Malaysian students.

How does Erasmus Mundus work?
EM supports the setting-up of ad-hoc master courses by groups of EU-based universities. These master courses are set by groups of three or more institutions
from different EU member states. Scholarships are only available for these courses. Students follow the courses in two or more of the universities and receive a joint, double or multiple degrees recognized by all the universities participating in the consortium.

What level are the courses?
All courses are Master level. Undergraduate (Bachelors) and Doctoral level study are not covered by Erasmus Mundus.

How many courses are available?
At present there are 36 courses involving over 100 universities. It is expected that
