Scholarships in all fields of study are offered to financially needy and academically deserving students. Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are invited to apply.
Eligibility criteria
YWS Scholarship Award 2008 is open to candidates currently studying, registered or applying to local institution of higher learning or university.
* STPM in local schools or Matriculation courses in local public universities.
* Any course in local universities, technical colleges and vocational institutions
In addition, applicants must:
* be Malaysian
* demonstrate a continuing involvement in extra-curricular activities (team or individual sports; voluntary service; affiliation with a recognized association or society)

Scholarship Package
Allowance of not more than RM10,000 a year inclusive of payments for:
* Course and other compulsory fees
* Board and lodging
* Transportation
* Textbooks
* Miscellaneous pocket expenses

The IJM Scholarship Award programme was established to help develop, nurture and raise young and bright Malaysian talents of the future. Through our awards, students are given a chance to realise their potential, hence, achieving their highest ambitions.
Students with excellent academic record, who are proactive and highly-motivated, and intend to pursue or are pursuing any one of the following courses are encouraged to apply for the IJM Scholarship Awards 2008.

* Bachelor of Accounting
* Bachelor of Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical & Industrial)
* Bachelor of Housing, Building & Planning
* Bachelor of Quantity Surveying
* Bachelor of Applied Science (Polymer Science/Mineral Science)
* Bachelor of Economics/Business Administration
* Bachelor of Agricultural Science/Agribusiness
* Bachelor of Science (Material Science/Geology)
The Scholarship
RM10,000 per academic year
Eligibility
* Good STPM or Matriculation grades
* Strong record in extra co-curricular activities
* Good command of English
* Full-time undergraduate study at a local government university or local private institution of higher learning
* Not be bonded to or in receipt of financial aid from other organisations

Applications are now open to Malaysians for scholarship awards offered by the following educational institutions.
Eligibility
• be Malaysian citizens of not more than 25 years of age as at 1st January 2008.
• have excelled in extra-curricular activities and active in sports.
• not be bonded to or in any receipt of any financial aid or awards from other educational institutions or organizations.
• for Foundation/Diploma courses, applicants must possess reasonably good results in the SPM/UEC or equivalent.
• for Higher and Advanced Diploma/Degree courses, applicants must possess reasonably good results in the STPM/A-Level/
UEC or equivalent
