Astro Scholarship 2011
Introduction
Astro Scholarship 2011 is now open for Malaysian students who wish to study at local or foreign universities. Scholarships will be awarded for young Malaysians to pursue areas of studies related to the media and broadcasting industry in local universities or foreign universities and colleges recognised by JPA (Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia).

Eligibility
- Malaysian citizen.
- No more than 21 years of age.
- Parents must be subscribers of Astro.
- Applicants must have consistent and outstanding academic results. Click here for minimum requirements.
- Possess strong leadership skills and active participation in extra- curricular, social or voluntary activities.
- Not bonded with other companies/ institutions.
Minimum Requirements
- SPM- 7A’s
- STPM- 3A’s
- A Level- 3A’s
- Australian TER SAM/ AUSMAT- Minimum 90.0
- Pre-U/ Local Matriculation/ Diploma- GPA/ CGPA at least 3.5
- Obtained admission to pursue or currently pursuing studies at renowned universities.
Value of Scholarship
Bursary value ranges from RM8,000 per year for scholars pursuing a degree course in Malaysia to RM150,000 per year for scholars studying overseas. It covers tuition, living expenses, air travel where warranted and insurance.
Bonding
An Astro scholar is expected to serve Astro or its related organisations for 3 years for if you apply for a local scholarship and 5 years if you apply for a foreign scholarship. This way, the scholars will pursue his or her degree with a clear vision of employment opportunity.
How to Apply
- Application must be made online at http://www.arcanesol.com/
- Fill in your personal details and submit your resume online. Document must be in DOC or DOCX format and does not exceed 2 MB.
- Proceed to the online assessment, which would take approximately one (1) hour (only for short listed candidates). A calculator is required.

Hi, My son is a very good candidate for studying Mass Comm, he is good at public speaking, debating,music..also has good leadership(formal Leo club president).he is currently working as membership consultant in a fitness center trying to save money to fund for his college, and became the rookie by the first month. he is 18years old but he only have 3As and 5 credits for SPM exam, can he apply for the scholarships?

Im an astro scholar and what I do know about the scholarship is that it is very flexible, i know people in their 2nd year that gets the scholarship. people studying courses outside the interests of astro gets the scholarship. it all comes down to what you write on the essays and how you do on the interviews.
